Review Session
In order to further plan the review strategy for the Senior High School Entrance Examination and effectively guide the teachers of Grade 9 to prepare for the exam, the review seminar for the Senior High School Entrance Examination in Anqing City in 2019 was successfully held in Anqing Foreign Language School from 29th to 30th April. This conference was rich in content and attended by renowned faculty, which was a rare communication feast for mathematics teachers in junior high schools of Anqing City.
Mr. He Chengquan, Director of the Municipal Teaching and Research Office, presided over the conference. Anqing Foreign Language School's Principal Assistant Ling Qian made a wonderful opening speech and extended a warm welcome to the teachers. In the meantime, he introduced the research and teaching achievements of Anqing Foreign Language School's mathematics group and the enterprising spirit of the staff.
First of all, during the two days, the participants observed the review seminar for the Senior High School Entrance Examination demonstrated by teachers Chen Peifeng, Nie Liqun from Anqing Foreign Language School and teacher Wang Shichao of Tongcheng Guache River Junior High School respectively. The teachers spoke highly of the three lessons who agreed that the three teachers provided vivid examples for them to build an efficient second-round review classroom teaching for the Senior High School Entrance Examination.
Second of all, Director He Chengquan and Director Qin Fen with the Teaching and Research Office respectively analyzed the data of the 2018 Anqing senior high school mathematics examination papers and the 2019 senior high school model examination papers in Anqing. The accurate data comparison provided a reasonable basis for the later review.
Third of all, Director Dai Xiangyang of Wuheng Junior High School and Director Yang Zhen of Qianshan No.3 Middle School gave everyone the special reports of 'Teaching Guide of the Last Topic under the Node Mode' and 'Using School-Based Materials to Improve Review Efficiency'. Combined with their own specific examples, they provided some teaching strategies for all the teachers to review for the Senior High School Entrance Examination.
In a nutshell, only by thinking about what we see, realizing what we feel and practicing what we think can we constantly improve ourselves. In spite of the short time, we gained a lot. The two-day seminar on mathematics revision for the Senior High School Entrance Examination was a great success.
